Default 4l60e will not go in 3 or D Just R-1 -2

I am a newbie and this was my first rebuild. Before the rebuild the truck would go through all the gears fine but seemed a little sluggish. It would slip a little pulling a small trailer. I lost reverse and pulled the trans. I found the sun sheild cracked causing reverse to go out. The clutch disk and the steels were fine but I replaced them. I replaced the sun gear, sun sheild and the converter. I took the valve body apart and cleaned it. I was very careful putting the parts back in the way they came out but mistakes can happen. I disassembled the pump and replaced the parts provided in the kit. The problem I had was getting the teflon seals on the pump and shaft to seat in correctly. I am not 100% sure they did not break going in but the pump seemed to go down smooth until I got to the gasket around the pump to go down. I lightly bumped it and it fell in place. Put the tranny back in and put 8 quarts of fluid in then started the motor. Let it warm up and put 3 more qaurts. I do not have D or 3 at all. It will move slowley in first and second if reved. Reverse seems to be fine. Pulled the top trans line off of the radiator and fluid pumps out. I dont have a gauge to check pressure yet but will get one. What could be the problem before I rip it out of the truck? Thanks

Almost sound like your speed sensor..
Did you plug it back in?

If you can rebuild a transmission, you know more about them than I do.
I had a similar problem and my speed sensor was bad, I put a new one in it and solved the problem.

Is your Odometer working?

The odometer works fine as far as I know. I will check the wires again. Thanks

I have fluid coming out of the vent tube.... I thought it was leaking from the trans/adapter housing. I had to wait for it to stop raining to get under it. I might have a broken vane ring on the shaft...Looks like I am going to start pulling the transmission.... I might go back with a different pump...I flushed the trans lines before I put back in truck.
