Default 4x4 Will not release om blazer-97

Hi. I have a blazer from 97 and hae problems with 4x4. It's vacuum to the actuator all the time and does not want to let go. what can be wrong?

If it is 4-button Auto 4WD, the two hoses on the vacuum solenoid on firewall (above distributor) may be switched (reversed) - trapping vacuum when solenoid is shut off (only one side is vented). Does the actuator release when hose is unplugged from it? Does the solenoid shut off vacuum passing through it when 2WD is selected? Note that none of this applies to 3-button 4WD (no auto button).

It is 3 button 4WD

There's a switch on the transfer case that gets stuck open causing constant vacuum at the actuator. Dorman makes a quality replacement switch part number 600-500.
