Default Rear hatch release not working 94

I have a 94 full size the transmission went out a few years ago and I just got it fixed. Now the rear hatch electric switch doesn't work after sitting for a couple of years. I can still open it with the key. Anyone else had this issue?

Default Help 94 fullsize blazer

Hi I know this is an old post but I thought what the hell might as well try. I have a 94 fullsize blazer the button that opens the back glass won't work or the key to open the back glass I bought it like this but the ? Is how to get the back glass to open when nothing is working? Do I just cut open the back panel and try to unlock the glass that way or try to change the key lock on the window? Any advice would be appreciated and thank you for your time

Change lock and key to be able to use a set of keys to open. Saves the hassle of unlocking the door and using the release button.

For the button most of the time it's an electrical issue. Make sure you have continuity to the lock and current when switch is pushed.

In order to do anything, he must first get the thing open, if I understand correctly. Is the full size setup the same as the S-10 models with the button on the dash? Does the key turn and not work or just not even turn?
