Default 4x4 woes, anyone?

hey guys bought this blazer in the summer but only drove it a couple times cos summer is for riding the V-twin. The 4x4 will not engage the front wheels. The relays click on the passenger side the lights on the dash show as they should and I can hear the motor engaging at the transfer case but it wont drive the front wheels. It did work perfectly before I parked it. Any help would be appreciated as the snow will be flying soon. I guess I should mention that when put in 4 low or 4 hi the rear wheels go in but not the fronts. Thanks Si

I am havin the same issue. i believe it is the 4x4 actuator. In my 94 S10 blazer it is located under the battery mount. It's a 50$ replacement. I haven't bought the part yet though.

Thanks bro I'll check that in the morning, all the vacuum lines too I suppose. looks like there is a pressure switch on the top of the transfer case with vacuum lines going to it. I'll check that too. any other areas I should be looking at?

Make sure all the vacuum lines are good like ya said. The switch too. but from what i see i think it's the Actuator. Let me know how that goes.

Thanks to all, the actuator was bad. Nice call Redneck it was the first thing I looked at. Removed the actuator and pulled on the cable and clamped it and the front locked in. I'm getting a new one tomorrow and I guess I'll replace all the vacuum hoses too.
