i'd do a 7.3L, some of the old k5s had a 6.2L diesel.

It shouldn't be too difficult. Basically, tear out the ECU that you have and replace it either with a stand alone unit or try to integrate in a stock PCM and engine harness. All depends on what you can get with the motor.

You will have to upgrade the fuel system as well because the fuel pressure required for a TBI motor is a lot lower than what is required for a MPFI engine. Those LS based engines can make some wicked power though!

6.0 is defiantly a nasty engine but going to obii is going to be a plan.

Could be a pain or could just be $$$. There are quite a few stand alone ECUs available for the LS engines that are quite easy to implement.

why the hell would you put in a Ford diesel?!?

if anything, you upgrade to a 5.9 (or a 6.7 if you have really deep pockets). those Cummins are pretty much a bottomless pit of power.
