On my 86 K5 with 305 Edelbrock intake/carb, the 1st 2nd shift is really hard. Also sometimes after it shifts into OD it will stay in it for a minute then shift back and forth from 3rd to 4th.
Is this TV cable related and do I need a correction plate for the carb or should I look at something else?

 

1;Servo spring is broken or second aculumator spring is broken
2; are you sure its 4/3 downshift or tcc lock?
3; do you know how to adjust TV cable?

 

1. It only shifts hard when getting on it. If I drive like a grandma it isnt as bad.

2. IDK if its shifting or tc lockup, but it will jerk, raise rpm's, then jerk again and be like it was at normal rpm's.

3. No I do not know anything about TV cables. I have just tried to look up stuff before I asked on here and I found a lot of articles related to it.

I got a correction kit but it will not work. It puts the cable out to the drivers side and that is too much of an angle.
