I have a 1984 s10 blazer with a 2.8 liter v6 and it wont idle most of the time. Its 4 speed and when i come to stop lights and let off the gas the oil light comes on and the truck stalls. Anyone have any idea what it could be? thankyou

 

If this is a Carburetored vehical some things come to mind. Idle not set correctly, Idle jets pluged, Idle needle valve not adjusted correctlyl float level not set correct. Your best bet would be to get a rebuild kit and take it alll apart and clean it and install the carb kit. Carb kits are not that hard. They include all new gaskets and instructions for all the adjustments. This is kind of general. I am not sure if your carb is computer controlled or not. Still a carb rebuild is probally needed.
