I have a 90 S10 Blazer 4X4 with a 4.3. I would like to change it from an Automatic to Standard transmission, but I am not sure what will work. I know where there is a 92 S10 Balzer, but it has the electronic push buton 4X4 and my Blazer has a standard transfer case. I think it may work but I am afraid I am going to end up having to change the harness and I am not sure if the front end still locks in with vacume either. Wondering if anyone knows which years would work best.

 

It looks as if no one responded to your question. I am presently exploring a similar changeover. I have a 95 S10 Blazer, 4.3l. Love the vehicle, but hate the automatic transmissions! I have already replaced the auto tranny with a factory rebuilt. But now that one has lost 3rd & 4th gears. I want to switch over to a 5-speed manual. I already know that it will fit right into the space. But now I am investigating how to install the clutching mechanisms.
