95 4.3 fit into a 98 blazer?

Exclamation 95 4.3 fit into a 98 blazer?

my engine blew in my 98 and my frien d is selling a 95 with a 4,3 engine. was wondering if it would fit right in? ant modifications?

You need a 1996-20010 engine for direct fitment. Later years can work as well, but may need some parts swapped and a hole drilled and tapped. There is a lot of differences between the '95 CPI engine and the later SCFI engines.

I read on some websites that I have to thread some sort of sensor that is suppose to be for my blazer? Ill have to reread.

Like Swartlkk said, it's really not worth trying to swap a '95 CPI 4.3 engine into a newer truck. There are quite a few differences. You'll be way better off finding one of the newer SCFI engines.

SCFI engine? sorry not sure what SCFI means, went to school for auto body and still getting use to knowing my blazer and s10.
