Default 95 blazer tranny questions

Hey everyone,
My blazer orginally had an electronic shift tranny.
somewhere down the lines a cable shift was installed.
The passing gear doent work. the cabel is not hooked up to the throttle body.
If i picked up the right bracket to make the cable work will it downshift?
Or is there more to it?

chris.

Google "GM Transmission Identification" and you should find a multitude of pages with pictures showing the different pans, etc.
