Default '95 Problems w/ Wife's Car

OK, 4.3 runs rough w/ heavy gas smell at exhaust. Plugs on passenger side are black and gas covered, other side is normal. Open intake and on passenger side is a puddle of gas. Replaced passenger side knock sensor, spider, cap, rotor and plugs. Just as bad a was before. What would make only one side crummy? Iam lost. Wife is upset to say the least. Thanks.

I'm thinking perhaps a bad fuel pressure regulator or bad connections on the spider?

Yes the pressure regulator is on the passengers side of the spider in that year almost positive.
