I pulled my 4.3 Vortec to replace all the gaskets and clean it up and now I'm having trouble getting to go back in. I cant get it to line up with the tranny or the motor mounts?? Any tips or tricks? Thanx

 

I had no help the day I installed the rebuilt engine in my 99 so I got tricky. Remove passenger side ex man, remove radiator, make sure engine mounts are on engine, not frame. Attach hoist to 2 GM lift lugs (ebay) that attach to intake as shown. Try to attach hoist at about the correct forward to back angle. Drop as close as possible to correct location then attach another lift to factory engine lift on driver side in order to adjust left to right rotation. Had it installed to tranny in about an hour.
