96 blazer trans slip
i have a 96 blazer the trans shifts fine during normal easy driving. after about 3 miles of driving when i press the gas the truck has no hp and feel like it is sliping through all gears. If the truck turns off for a few minutes it drives fine then acts up right a way. Is this a simple fix externally ie... trans filter, tcm, anything acessable from the trans oil pan? there is what looks like a rouge vacume line hanging near the trans.

One thread is all that is necessary. I have removed the other thread.
Have you verified the proper fluid level in the transmission? When it is doing this, does the engine just free rev when you push on the gas pedal?

yes the level is fine it only acts up about 3 miles from a cold start. sometimes i hear the reving other times i dont when it does in gear its not a rough transition.

RE: 96 blazer trans slip
I have been told that since tranny shifts ok from cold start up and gets worse it could be something called tourque converter. Is this possible? I was told the trans was rebuilt a few years ago than truck sat for a year or 2 after rebuild could that mean it is fine and it is electrical? Please any and all idea's welcome
