Default 97 s-10 blazer runs rough

97 s-10 is running rough. have replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor. put in new fuel injector. It still runs rough and can smell fuel out of the exhaust. any suggestions?

Sounds like you have a bad spider valve (fuel injector). I had the same thing happen. I had to change out the unit and I needed a new EGR too.

Check all of your vacuum hoses and connections to see if they are either cracked of disconnected.
Check your EGR valve for carbon deposits, clean out passages in manifold if extremely fouled...
Check computer for DTC's to see if there is a sensor or system that is failing to provide computer with the correct data needed to run the system.

When you say you put a new fuel injector in, do you mean the whole assembly of 6 injectors, or just one for one cylinder? Also check the compression, and do you have a check engine light?
