Default 98 4l60 e shift problem

hi guys new to the forum so I hope I'm asking this in the right spot but I have 2 problems with one of my 4l60e on the 2-3 shift it's hard to explain but I'm getting what seems to be a double shift like you feel it shift into 3rd Normally and than you get another shift bump immediately after second problem is slips for a second right after / during a shift not a flare up but I feels like it slips not for any length of time during the 2-3 shift only never while driving in 3rd all other operations are normal and both of these problems happen randomly and they are not present all the time every once in a while these problems happen 145,000 maintained miles thank you for any help

My experience with transmission is all from when I burned up my 3/4 clutch pack by towing my boat using Overdrive. The owner of the transmission shop made me promise never to do that again. LOL

That said, I have heard of issues such as the lock-up torque converters giving issues. But there could be any number of things that could go wrong on these. Some auto parts stores have the more sophisticated code readers that read codes that don't always trigger the "check engine light" so it might be worth asking one of them to look for any codes.

Have you been keeping up on the flushing of the transmission fluid and having he filter replaced?
