I have a 99 blazer 2dr.. I am wanting to do the 5.3 vortec swap just because i have one laying around. But I was looking through the other posts about the v-8 swap and didnt really get any detailed list of what all i will need... My main concern is with the wiring. With the 5.3 will it just be plug and play? And another thing is will the exhaust manifold on the 5.3 be in the way of the steering shaft? Any info or links you have would be great!!

 

Definitely will not be plug and play.

You should not have clearance problems.
