Default '99 Blazer 4.3 V6 Hard to Start

I recently purchased this vehicle in Sacramento and brought it up to S. Lake Tahoe. I soon as I get it here the check engine soon light has appeared and it takes 5-6 pumps on the gas peddle before turning over the ignition to start the engine. Any help or ideas are appreciated.

First off, [sm=welcomesign.gif]to the Forum. Next, have the code for the SES light read and let us know what it is so we might be able to help with the problem.

I agree, get the codes read and let us know the results.

BTW, pumping the "gas" pedal does nothing (in a fuel injected vehicle) that pushing down on the pedal would not do (add air to the plenum). This would indicated that there is a rich condition upon startup...

How does the truck run once you have it started?
