On the 95 , it's commonly referred to as OBD 1 1\2 ...It has the OBDII style connector, so the scanner will fit , just won't send any info..

Best method to get codes from a 94 and 95, besides the TECH 1 and Tech 2 is to use the paperclip trick and count the SES\CEL light flashes.

would that be pins 4 & 5 or 4 & 6? Right now I have the ABS light on only, is there a paperclip trick for that too or will the paperclip for the check engine light flashes tell me the trouble codes for the ABS too?

It should be the top right 2 PINs on the 94. Insert paperclip into top right 2 pins , then KOEO . Don't actually start the car.

Count the SES flashes(SES light on the dash) , pause , then count second set of flashes, and you'll have your code..

Do you know if Autozone, Oriely or Pep boys sell a scanner that works?

 

Anything in that year in a reasonable price range really won't be a scanner so to speak, just a code puller. Amazon does sell the GM Tech II for around $350... Then there are some Snapon scanners like the Solus or Modis that should work.
