Question AC low side fitting challenge

Anyone ever had trouble attaching the quick connect to the fitting on the accumulator? I am trying to add R134 via the low side fitting but the quick connect wont go on all the way. It seems to bottom out about half way on. (?)
I checked the fit on my other Chevy and it worked fine. The one it won't fit is a 2001 Blazer LT. There is a R134 label on the evap. box and the high side fitting is much larger so I believe I'm doing it right. I bought it used so I'm not sure it's an original accumulator. Any ideas welcome. I'm lost on this one.
