Default ARP head bolts

I was searching for arp head bolts for my truck. my heads are d-shaped combustion chambers, 2 sensor. i see 4 different ones offered for my engine on summit racing. i just got the heads on last weekend and im getting coolant seepage along the outer edage between the block and head. im going to try pulling off the exhaust and tightening them an additional 15* per my machinist. i used a fel-pro top end kit and new bolts. if tightening the head bolts a little more doesnt work, i will be pulling them again and doing it over, this time with better gaskets and arp head bolts. just need to know which ones to use. http://www.summitracing.com/search/Y...t/?Ns=Rank|Asc

That could be the case considering most head gaskets require retorqueing. I have never done it but probably should have. I doubt ARP bolts are going to give you any advantage over another bolt unless you go with studs. Hopefully 15* is a good amount. It's to bad they don't give a final torque you could go from for retorqueing.

When you retorque head bolts you do it in the same sequence you would for installing them the first time with the same torque specs.

i know how to retorque, but i just generally hate tty becuase i cant go back over them again to double check. thats why i want arp bolts so i can go with a proven and true method of final torque settings. it will also help out later if i ever happen to rebuild the bottom end

I've never retorqued head bolts, but I'm sure you follow the same pattern as the first time you torque them.
