Default Belt Noise

My blazer just started to make a wierd belt noise. I have poped the hoop an listened, it might be coming from the alternater, but i dont have much knowledge on things like this. I have inspected the belt an its seems fine to me. Any help, greatly appreciated!

Default RE: Belt Noise

Use an old hot dog stick (or something similar) to find the noise. Place one end on the part you suspect of making the noise, place your ear to the other end. The sound will travle through the piece of steel. Place it on various parts until you find the source, you'll know it when you find it.

how to inspect a belt, is it cracked, look close to teh grooved side. If so, replace it.

NO cracks, an odly enough it stopped making the noise today when i changed the oil. Now all i gotta worry about is the rear end noise. [:@]
