Default Burnt rotor.

Been a while since I've been on. 97 blazer. Was Driving and engine lost power and shut off. Towed it home and started doing the usual checks. Fuel pressure 60 psi key on. Then checked spark. No spark but had a tack signal, so thought it was icm. Changed that and checked for 12v on coil and icm, both good. Tried starting it and it would pop every now and then. So pulled cap.

And then the rotor

So did I find my problem?

Yes, but you should check cam sensor retard as the probable root cause of the cap/rotor failure.

If you already haven't, you might want to remove the distro cap, check the rotor for slop and have someone turn the engine by hand to insure the rotor is is rotating.
