Default Can someone help a girl out?

I was wondering if anyone could help me out on something... I have a 93 blazer w/ 4.3 vortech and it did something odd the other day. the serv engine light came on and i check hoses and the lg blk raditor hose had alot of pressure on it and i waited awhile and let it cool down adn went on my way the light never came bac kon and the hose stayed normal.. well yesterday i was going to change out the thermostat and gasket and there wasent a thermostat in it... what would cause the truck to compress that much pressure on one hose with out a blockage ? btw there isent any leaks or worn tubes .... just need a lil help thats all ~hellchild

Does the heater blow hot air? Could be a clogged heater core. Might want to try having a rdiator flush done at your local oil change place and I would recommend putting the thermostat back in.

the hose should be pretty stiff when the car is at normal operating temp. the system holds 15psi when its warmed up and running.

I was told it also could be becuse the mods we have done to it due to the deer acctident, that the fan guard should be reinstalled its just blowing air all over and not pulling it thru the raditor like it should ... we actually have to have the thermostate houseing re threaded and we are putting a new thermo on it mon... but it was odd we just flushed the raditor and im not sure about the core ill have to ask.. i know the hose is suspose to have some what pressure but this was extreem. it would have bursted if i had let it go on any longer. it was really large, more then normal.. but thank you guys for helping me out.. i apreachite it alot tytyty

What mods did you ahve done after the accident?
Yes, you need the fan shroud, otherwise the fan just moves the air in the engine compartment around and doesn't pull anything through the radiator. No doubt your hose got hot and is shot, it needs to be replaced.
