Does anyone have access to find out detailed info on GM casting numbers?

The number on my block is 14893638 and I cant find anything on it for the world...

Checked mortec and didnt see anything...

 

What exactly are you trying to find out?

 

the year of the motor.. and what type it is exactly.

I cant find it anywhere.. all i know is that its a sbc350

 

Where on the block was this number? It does not seem to be a valid block casting number. Are you sure the numbers are correct?

Do you see any number/letters on the front of the passenger side cylinder head mounting surface on the block?

 

I took the numbers off the rear of the block on the passenger side right above the bell housing...

Didnt see any letters or anything.. Ill have to look again later today

Do you have some pictures? Did you clean this area off with a wire brush? Any other casting identifiers?

14093638 is a valid block ID and comes across as a 89-93 350 V8 OHV, RWD, TBI, roller lifters, center bolt valve covers, high swirl intake ports, right hand dipstick, one peice rear main seal.

 

what database did you use to look up the block number?
