Hey,
Havin a bit of a problem getting out of park on the automatic shifter.... What could be the deal, Too Cold? Something has got to give

i had the same problem. once i got it out of park, it wouldnt go back into park. i had it towed to the chevy dealer, they told me the shifter cable rusted through and snapped. so $350 later shes shifting just fine. so theres something to check out...

if you have the center console with the shifter in the floor there is a safty switch inside the column that works off the ignition switch and brake lite switch

if it is your shifter cable I would not pay $350. I paid $270 for my B&M floor shifter and it came with its own, as for installing a shifter cable alone isnt that hard.
