Clunking Noise When I Reverse
Hi guys, I'm new here, so I don't know if this is already on the forum. I recently found that when I start to reverse in my 05 Blazer (4x4 LS model), there is a clunk, almost like it's clunking into gear. To be specific, I shift into reverse and feel it go into gear fine, but it is when I push the gas and start reversing that something clunks. Sometimes it's a small clunk and other times it's a large clunk. Not being very knowledgeable with transmissions, I'm hoping someone here may know what the issue could be, or can at least guide me in the right direction. Thanks
I don't really know anything about transmissions, but where does it seem like the clunk sound is coming from? Does it sound like down by your feet or does it sound further behind you? You didn't mention any clunking going forward I realize, but you might have a loose u joint somewhere in the drive train. How's the tranny fluid look, smell, etc... Any problems shifting otherwise?
