Considering selling the Wagoneer and stuffing 454 in Blazer..

Dome pistons will give you a much higher compression ratio than 9.5-1.Probaly like 11-1 which you wont be able to run on pump gas.Stick with flat tops with either 2-4 valve reliefs. Also what kind of rearend are you ging to run open carrier r posi?I`d go with 4.10 gear ratio

The ratios I have at the moment are 3.35 with 31" mud terrains
I will sell them and the axles so I can slap some different axles off of a 3/4 ton Chevy or a Blazer driveline.
Then I will get new 33 or 35" MT's
My current set up is spring under front. With a shackle flip and spring over my 4" lift will become probable around 10" depending on axle tube size. I want a street able off road/tow rig. The BBC engines are supposed to be torque monsters so it cant be too hard... right?

As for tires I would stick with 31`s

I am open to aluminum heads if shaving heads is required I wouldn't mind forking out some $$ for a compression bump that's safe.

You can have safely .0025 milled off the heads no problem.I would also go with the rpm airgap performer intake also. Also on your engine build get it balanced and blue printed also.Yeah it cost extra buts its worth it.

I'll be doing it right. Definitely balancing it. The engine will be supercharged later on with a few pounds so I want it to be right.

Seems like you have a nice dream in the works. If your going with super charger ditch the stock rods and go with either H or I beam type. Also you are going to forged crank and pistons. Are yu building this engine or having someone build it for you?
