Default converting 4wd to 2wd

hi, i am in attempt to build a custom ride out of a 2000 jimmy. My question is if i take off the tranfer case, can i get my drive shaft to go directly into the transmission? if not is it possible?

your better off selling the 4x4 and buying a 2whdr.
You cna use your tranny, however you have to take it ocmplete apart and replace the output shaft with a 2whdr version, plus you need a 2wdr tailhasft housing and you will need to replocat your vss cable, plus get a longer driveshaft, then you have to deal with the front axle. You cant just remove the front driveshaft, you have to remove all of it and replace it with a 2wdr version. that includes your a-arm and all suspension parts.

sell it and buy a 2whdr.

Like what the other guys have said, you're much better off buying a 2wd Blazer and going from there.

That depends, if its a slip fit in teh front diff, NO.
If the driveshaft is bolted to the front diff, than yes.

Same goes for the t-case. slip fit, no; bolt on yes.

Why would you remove the front axle and not remove the t-case OR front axle? What is the point of removing the front driveshaft only?
