Default Converting From AT to MT

Hey i would like to convert from my 4L60E to a Manual Tranny. Not Sure What Tranny i want to use but Besides the fact of ripping out the old tranny and installing a Stick. What else is required, I Know I have to add a clutch pedal, and i know also i would need an ignition interlock as well. Would I need a new Rear Axle or can i just change the gear ratios? Im Tired of the Auto Trans and Would rather drive a stick. Thanks

You will also have to change the computer, and do some wiring work.
No need to replace the rear axle, I gather this is a two wheel drive truck?
If your truck is a 2wheel drive you will need a tranny from a 2wheel drive truck. Same for 4x4.

When you find your donor tranny, get the wiring harness that goes with it and the puter if it comes froma similar truck. GM offered a manual tranny behind numerous engines in the S10. Most notible behind the 4banger, that wont work behind your V6. You will need amanual from a 4.3, or any V8 if you have a 4.3L now.

Google the swap, its not as easy as it sounds. Generally its better to sell the truck and buy one with a manuall in it.

I found just the tranny on the gmparts, but dont see any PCM. Also My List Would Include The Manual Tranny, Clutch Pedal, Not Sure What Else. I Kno they would Remove the old tranny and install the new one, thenI would have to install a stick shift into my floor, i already have the auto floor shifter, and install a clutch pedal. What else would i have to go thru
*COMBINING CONSECUTIVE POSTS*

Your best bet would be to find a donor 5spd blazer or s-10 in the junkyard that matches RPO codes with your truck as close as possible.
