my 94 CPI "HO" 4.3 won't build pressure in the cooling system.. and Im getting a slight whiff of antifreeze as it warms up.. .no visible drips.. are there any particular areas these engines are prone to coolant leaks that I should be focusing my search on?

 

If it doesn't build any pressure, and you don't have a visible leak, it sounds like a bad cap.

 

well. I don't know if it's leaking somewhere I can't see it.. like under the intake manifold or somthing. it's not milkshaking the oil.. and doesn't appear to be blowing it out the tail pipe... praying it's not a heater core.
