i have a 2001 blazer 4.3 or rather my wife does a couple months ago it started running rough so considering the milage a tuneup was in order so i did a complete tuneup cap rotor good plugs fuel & air filter oil change everything but wires it needed the tuneup but running did not improve number 5 plug had corrosion that hinted to a blown head gasket changed those then started having a hard crank problem as if it were out of time i know it was right but when i put it 180 out it tries to start and of course backfires through the intake with its high milage i thought a timing set may be needed did that yesterday it was worn but not that bad i did do a fuel port test got 62 lbs initially and back bleed to 55 i did not do a max test at the filter i am going to put a fresh battery in it sense these trucks require a lot of power to get started i know its a long post but we are getting desperate and cant afford a shop man i wish i could.
any help will be so very appreciated

I wish the best of luck to you. It sometimes feels like a never ending battle just trying to find solutions to problems. my dad has a 2000 s10 and it started running really really bad. But it was just that he needed to use his ac. Maybe it was about to sieze up im not too sure. Is the check engine light coming on?
