That works for the trans but, if you have push button 4wd (which I'm pretty sure you do) you have two hold two buttons simulataniously to get your transfer case into neutral. I think it's 2 HI and 4 HI but, check your manual for sure. If you don't you'll fry your tranfer case.

Just wanted to thank everyone 4 all the great advise on here! The reason my Xtreme wouldn't start was do to not getting a spark 2 the spark plugs! Needed a distribtor-cap and rotor which was 47 bucks, and a case of beer for my best bro to put it in! Also ! my bad for jumping on someone's thread ! Very new to posting and threading! Keep on Blazin and stay safe!

The electronic modules are famous for popping and causing a no start issue.
When you hooked up the spark plug to test for spark was the spark blue, white, or orange.
Orange is good spar and most times would rule out electrical.
White is to hot and usually points to the pick up coil in the distributor. However if this is the case it would be easier to replace the whole distributor because even though the pick up coil is cheap the labor would be more expensive than replacing the whole distributor.
Blue would be a cold spark and usually would point to the ignition module inside the distributor.
If you decided to replace the whole distributor it would come with a new pick up coil and module.
If you got a good orange spark I wold try squirting some starting fluid into the throttle if it starts it would either be your fuel pump not giving enough pressure to start or the fuel pump relay being weak.
On most GM engines the fuel pump pressure needs to be around 90psi to start the engine and 45psi to run it. Thats why I try the starting fluid method when I do not have access to a pressure tester.
Good Luck with this and let me know if any of this helped.
