Default Desperate

I have a really bad problem with my 89 Blazer. It started gradually while accelerating now it doesn't accelerate at all.,it won't even start unless I floor the gas pedal and then it will make this hoarse wind rushing sound...

Could be an EGR valve problem. See where the EGR pipe goes into the intake manifold, unbolt the EGR pipe from manifold, and block it with something solid so you don't have an intake leak. If starts up with no problems just replace the EGR valve.

i would check your fuel pressure. I would also listen for vacuum leaks, will it idle after you start it?

sounds like the pump. Try spraying some ether in the throttle body and try to start it without pressing the gas. does it start right up and die? if so its probably the pump.

4.3L with throttle body injection? Two fuel injectors visible when you remove the air cleaner? Exhaust restriction? Possible catalytic converter restricted? Remove the oxygen sensor and see if that makes a difference, (other than noise)
