Different Tranny

I was wondering if anybody knows an automatic transmission that will bolt up to the Vortec 4.3 and transfer case?

700R4 was used behind the 4.3 before the 4L-60 came around. Not sure if it will work with a modern transfer though. Pretty sure a 4L-80 will also bolt up to a 4.3
