Default Disconnected the shift cable from Trans wrong way

I'm quite sure I disconnected the shift cable from the right side of the transmission of my 1998 Blazer incorrectly. I wanted to change the transmission fluid and filter as I recently bought this vehicle and the fluid was looking somewhat brownish. I do not have a hoist so I drove the Blazer up on 4 inch blocks which allowed me more clearance underneath the vehicle to work. I proceeded to remove the transmission pan bolts and came to the two 10cm head bolts which bolt the shifter bracket to the pan. I removed those two bolts with a combination wrench as a socket would not fit. As the last of the two bolts was coming out the vehicle rolled backwards off the blocks. Luckily I was quick enough to scramble out from under the vehicle before the drivers rear tire tried to run over me. At this moment I had a suspicion I did something wrong but I proceeded to complete the fluid and filter change. Everything went together fine even the two 10cm bolts went back in without a hitch. I connected the battery cable and started the vehicle up and attempted to take it for a short drive. The column shifter would go into all of the gears but the vehicle would not move in any gear. So, something got messed up and what needs to be done to get the vehicle to move? After the fact and after doing some research I realized I should put the vehicle in neutral and put the parking brake on and then have taken the shift cable loose from the pan first and then remove those two 10cm head bolts.

I solved the problem. Not enough transmission fluid. When I refilled it after I dropped the pan for the oil and filter change, I simply did not replace as much fluid as I removed. Hope I did not do any damage. Blazer runs in all of the gears now.
