drivers side middle cylinder filled with gas
Ok so i took my plugs out. 5 of them were easy with only a little bit of fuel..but after fighting with that middle plug on the drivers side..(holy crap that designer needs to be best for placing that spark plug there) any ways i pulled that plug and fuel came pouring out. Hydro lock gone now.haha. However i got access to my spider and the whole intake was full of fuel. A fuel line in it was not all the way on, i pushed it on and turned the power on. The fuel pump kicked in, but no fuel leaked anywhere and no fuel came out if the hole for that spark plug. If that line came undone and that was the problem then how did only one cylinder get filled?
Heres a possibilty, all 6 got filled but the fuel leaked past the rings down into the crakcase while it sat and now its in the oil, i would check the oil and see if its overfull and runny and smells really gassy, if it does then fix that fuel line and change the oil then drive it for a few miles and then change the oil again, oil dilluted by gasoline will eat the bottom end in no time. If its not obvious that lts in the oil then just fix the line and change the oil once anyway to be on the safe side. as for your why only the one cylinder, who cares as long as you found the problem and fixed it?
Ya the oil was the first thing i checked. It's filled with gas. I was just worried the spider was going. But when i power up the fuel pump the spider doesn't leak and no gas comes out of the spark plug holes. If that line inside the plenum right before the spider was leaking then how did it fill one cylinder? The rest all got a little fuel in them also as i noticed when i pulled each plug. I just don't want to rebuild the spider if i don't have to at this moment in time.
