Drop in V8
#1
What is the easiest V8 to drop into a 99 2dr blazer. Something with the least amount of mods. Also how much would i be looking at spending out the door not including labor.

similar year/ fuel delivey type 350 small block.if you have the 4.3 in there its pretty easy. and it depends where you get the 350sb from. you could spend $1500 all the way on up, depending on what power it makes/ how many miles/ aluminum vs. cast iron block, etc.

A conversion kit costs about $700 whichincludes a manual, 4WD mounts, 4WD headers, aluminum radiator, 4WD oil pan. You will need to separately purchase
ual elec. fan kit, $360; radiator hose, $22; Radiator brackets, $39; Temperature sensor, $36; Fuel pressure regulatorby-pass, $50; Mini starter, $119. Then you must evaluate your transmission and make the determinationif it is up to the task or if it needs to be rebuilt with better parts.
About $1500worth ofmajor conversion parts will get you started after you buy an complete V8 engine. Engine costs can vary from $600 for a used salvage yardmotor to $7,500 for a complete 410 HP Chevrolet ZZ4 350 CIV8 crate engine. To be more practical, you can purchasea well built350 CI V8 street enginefor about$2000 from most high performance engine builders.
Then comes the fun part.
