Default egr and emissions

So I have a 93 blazer, has the egr been deleted by anybody. Mine is deleted on my regals with no ill effect would it have problems on the blazer to do it. Also has anyone deleted that black ball looking thing by the battery as I got told it was emmiSsion related too. Also what about the carbon canister by the air box

i wouldnt think that the egr deleted would hurt your blazer as the egr just pushes exhaust back through the motor to burn cleaner than without it. as far as the other stuff i dont know.

You would think wrong. On an engine that is designed with an EGR system, the recirculated exhaust gasses serve to reduce cylinder temperatures. If the system is defeated and the PCM is not retuned to add more fuel, you can ruin the exhaust valves.

And while you may have it deleted on your regals (3800?), I doubt it is with no ill effects. Over time, it will take a toll, but if you have retuned the PCM to add fuel, thereby reducing cylinder temps, then you will likely not have a problem.

To what end are you in search of by removing these systems? If you want a glaring yellow/orange light on your dash, go right ahead and rip away.
