Engine Oil intercooler
I was wondering if this would be good to use for a 1999 Chev with a 4.3.
More Information for HAYDEN 1040
I have to replace the oil cooler lines and would rather for something that would last longer than the usual rad connection.
Or if someone has a better suggestion for a kit I'd gladly look at it.
Cheers,
K

Are you towing all the time, or driving up mountains? If so, then maybe you need it. If not, the stock setup will be enough.
The problem with the stock setup isn't in the radiator connection, it's the crimps in the oil lines themselves where the rubber meets the metal ends. Instead of paying a bunch for replacement lines that will leak again, you can repair them right to where you won't have a problem again, ever.
There are a ton of threads on here about ways to modify them. What I did was to get some rubber pressure line, and hose clamps. I carefully cut off the old crimps and lines, and clamped new line onto the old ends. I've only had mine on for about 5k miles, but so far so good. Others on here have done similar mods, with great results.

I wish it was at the hose crimps lol. The issue is where the lines connect into the rad. So I want to eliminate that connection. Although I don't tow alot yet. I do go into the mountains a fair bit. So some of those hills can get to be a bit much.
I just deleted everything, put the filter back on the block, got rid of that stupid GM flaw. Will never look back.
If the lines are a problem where they connect to the rad, unbolt them, clean them off, put on some plumbers tape, and put them back on.
