before we get to far, 5.7 that youd want to swap is one from the 96-99 full size truck, and think up to an 02 full size van. if you go that route, its the same transmission you have now. only difference i seen between full size trans and blazers is bellhousing. truck has a removable lower section to get to flexplate. blazer only has small round inspection covers.

5.3 since i havent done it or looked into it yet im not entirely sure. ive stumbled acrossed posts and i believe it is still a 4l60e, but there is differences. id guess the flexplate and torque converter.

i would probably wanna switch to a 5speed manual if possible or go with an engine and trans combo already together... i know goin man. would add alot more things to the list of buys and mods, but i think the extra control/fun factor would be worth it. I hate to be a bother but any info i need to know about axles(front and rear)??? wat would be the best things to address first? gearing or lockers or just entire upgrade all around??? so many things i wanna do!!
