Engine Swap ponderings
One of my favorite SBC engine combos is the 383 - 350 block + .030", 400 crank/rods. I'd love to have that much low-rpm torque in my 4.3 4X4 Blazer.
CAVEAT: I'm almost completely clueless about available mods/replacement engine control module components!
Dumb questions:
1) Assuming a mild cam profile - would a stock GM ECM work? If so - which one would be the best replacement for the ECM for the 4.3?
2) In terms of engine management, what WOULD need to be replaced? Entire ECM/wiring harness? Just a chip? ??
Aside from the obvious exhaust & radiator mods - is there anything else that would make this swap unadvisable?
Thanks for your time and opinions!

I will assume that your user name means something and that you have a 1996 Blazer.
Pick an engine and work from there. Are you considering using an SCFI 5.7L V8 made into a 383? If so, this will be one of the easier swaps for the 2nd Gens.
There are no "chips" for the OBD2 computers.
