I have a 1999 Blazer 4x4 with the "W" VIN code and the oil filter on the front of the engine compartment. My friend has a 2004 Extreme Blazer 2wd with the "X" VIN code and the oil filter is on the rear of the engine. He is dropping a small block V-8 into his truck and i have the chance to pick up the entire engine and computer for pretty cheap. His engine has less miles and runs better than mine. Could i drop his engine and computer in my Blazer and not have to change anything else or would other things need to be done? Thank you in advance for the helpful posts that i am sure i will get.
