Default Front driveshaft????

Have a 1997 jimmy and trans went out. Replaced with trans from 1997 blazer and front drive shaft will not fit! If installed the crossmember will not fit, it's as if the transfer case is about 1 inch too low where front driveshaft exits. Any ideas? Other than driveshaft issue everything else lined up and works well.

I am betting that one of the vehicles is 4wd while the other is awd. The two transfer cases use different transmission to transfer case adapters. If the awd adapter is used on a 4wd, the transfer case will not be clocked properly and the same is true for using the 4wd adapter on an awd transfer case.

So you need the adapter from the transmission that came out of the vehicle.
