fuel filter

Angry fuel filter

i have a 87 with the 2.8 v6 4x4. i have looked all over the place and cant find my fuel filter. i dont know if its hidden or what. its not where they are usually at on the frame and in my book it just says its under the vehicle. im lost any help would be great

should be on the driver side maybe towards the rear like most vehicles

yea it aint there i followed the fuel lines from the tank into the frame. nadda.

hmm... let me check with my buddy ill call him and ask him because he has a 87 2.8 cant call him until 15 minutes from when he gets off work

with alot of searches the threads here i think i found where its at. i did its behind the power steering pumps thankis for the help

yeah that thing is a pain to change out.

If it were me I'd extend the line and locate it somewhere a bit more accessible while your changing it.

Yea just want to let eveybody know that if you have a s10 with a fuel filter behind the powersteering pump and you want to change it just go ahead and shoot yourself. You would be happier in the end.

LOL, ive done a couple and i usually just end up putting it further down the line generally right close to the tank, makes for easier change.
Glad you found it.
