fuel pressure for 1999 blazer vortec question
#1
Simple questions guys. I was told that I have tor elieve pressure prior to replacing fuel filter. I push in the schrader and got no fuel pressure release. I remove old filter - no pressure. I notice "low fuel" light kicks on half the time I drive even after filling up. I notice when this light comes on it idles worst.
1. Is there a problem if theres no pressure within my fuel system?
2. Is the rough idle, false "low fuel" lamp related to this you think?
How do I troubleshoot the leak?
JDS
thanks guys
thanks again dude hope to hear some thoughts.

Please be patient. You replied to your own thread 1 minute after you originally posted...
If your fuel pressure is bleeding off, you have a leak in the system. Your problems could be related, but without a fuel pressure test as detailed in the Tech Article (DIY) section and specifically looking at the leak down rate, anything would just be a guess.
