Post Hard to Start

Hey there! Ive got a 2000 4x4 ls that is having a hard time starting and seemingly blows fuel out of somewhere onto my engine, im not all that mechanically inclined so i dont know where to look or even start looking. Anyone have a similar problem or knows what this may be?

If you have fuel squirting out, you have a major safety issue. The fuel lines come up the back of the engine and onto the the top and center of the intake plenum. There are fittings for connecting the fuel lines to the manifold lines at the rear of the intake manifold. If you are lucky, maybe your problem may be that one of these fittings is loose.

Are you are able to check for this yourself or have a friend come over to look for the loose fittings on the gas lines? If not I'd suggest not driving it for fear of starting a fire in the engine compartment and instead having it towed to a shop.
