Default head gasket leak...maybe? Help for newbie

I brought a 2000 Blazer home Thursday for my 15 yr. old. It only has 120K, so I thought I would be alright. I noticed it was wet from oil leaks around the front of the pan and the remote filter lines while changing the oil. I warmed the engine first then drained it. Some of the oil got on the floor and when I went to clean it up some of it looked like it had some water in it. It also appeared to have too much oil in it when I poured it back into the container and it appeared to be very thin. Uh-oh! It is possible I could have had more oil (and water) in the drain bucket when I started, but the fluid on the floor bothered me. However, the oil was not milky. The water did not appear to be stirred up with the oil. I drove it home three hours from where I picked it up, and the temp never went over 190. No vapor out of the exhaust that I can detect. I now believe that some of the leaks may have been because the oil was terribly thin (maybe due to water in the oil). While running I did not see any bubbles from the radiator, but the fluid level seemed to be low. It does appear to be using the green stuff in the radiator.

I am looking for opinions before I start driving it around town and waiting for something bad to happen. I guess a compression test should be next ??

Does the dipstick or filler cap smell like antifreeze? My first suspicion would be a bad lower intake manifold gasket leak. They are notorious on most gm motors.

No, no smell of antifreeze
