High Performance Trans compatible to 4l60e
I have a 2003 Blazer LS 4dr and the transmission is starting to go. I never plan on letting it go and always had a high performance overhaul in mind when the time came. It seems that the time is now coming.
I’m trying to figure out what high performance transmissions are out there that are compatible with the 4l60e in my Blazer. Eventually I’ll swap out the engine with a better V6 but it’s seems as though the timing has me focused on the transmission first.
Any suggestions or recommendations would be extremely helpful.

Following.
I've heard the 4L65E is pretty similar, especially externally, to the 4L60E, but with stronger internal parts.
Being electronically controlled, I wouldn't know about the need for reprogramming the control systems.

Might be cheaper to have your current tranny I rebuilt. I had mine rebuilt when the time came, but for more heavy duty and reliability. HD clutch packs, Beast sunshell, and TransGo, Jr. valve body. No problems for 175K miles now. No high speed/low drag improvements in the engine, though.
