I have a 1995 Blazer with 240k on it. I have noticed recently that when I drive around town, stop and go traffic, with ac on, because its like 100 degrees here in Orlando, when I stop to shop or run errands, then get back in to start her up, it hesitates, than kicks over. When I start her cold, she starts right up. It seems to only happen when I have been running it for awhile. Aside from that issue, I am debating getting a newer car, but at this point I have replaced some major parts. The gas consumption is killing me with this car! I have had it 11 years and we have been all over the country a few times..not sure if I should just run it into the ground or get something better on gas....?

Could be a number of different things. Heat soak can affect ignition components (coil, ignition control module, etc). You may have a fuel leak inside the plenum that is affecting both hot starting and your fuel mileage.
