Default Hvac vacuum line location forward of firewall?

2000 2wd 4 door.

Tried the search, very helpful but not telling me exactly what I need.

The vacuum line off the bottom of the T by the brake booster is nowhere to be found. It is supposed to pass through the firewall. #33 in the schematic.

Where should this hose come through the firewall? I see where it goes through on the aft side of the firewall under the dash, it is a rigid black plastic line.

Nowhere to be found forward of the firewall.
Broke off perhaps? Is it rigid all the way to #33?

If so, it looks to go through above and to the left of the transmission. Seems...unfortunate.

What year do you have? And do you have the 3-button or 4-button transfer case?

See the link in my signature for more information on replacing the vacuum lines that should have other information that could help.

I updated the original post. 2000 2wd, no xfer case. I looked over your well-done post on replacing lines. Thank you.

I believe my HVAC line is missing from the firewall forward up to the tee.

Not finding it.

looked up around the firewall for a rigid black line leading to the HVAC. Can someone direct me to an approximate location or things nearby? Is it tied in with a wire bundle?

go to 3:08 in this video. The red line he has here turns into black line and goes back through the dash between the wiper motor and the fender. Pay no attention to the adapters he has put on this vacuum system.

Here's a better one. Factory setup and routing with snapped black plastic line for HVAC. See post 2 here:
